I'm currently working on a project where I have a test bench set up with a CAN bus emulator that powers on the NBT EVO v4.1 head unit without providing any vehicle-specific information, such as the VIN number. The head unit is currently unlocked and operating as expected.


I’m currently connected with ė-šÝ§ and BU using the EVO’s ip address and I'm able to import an FA and coding changes.

I've identified section 3004 where the long VIN is entered, but I'm unsure if this is the correct method to change the VIN. My goal is to change the VIN before the VIN lock security activates, if that’s even possible.


I’d really appreciate any insights or guidance from those who have experience with this. Any suggestions or steps you can share would be incredibly helpful.

ė-šÝ§ => Expert Mode => FSC Extended
Use Diag Address 0x63
Press Identify and JU_NBT2 should Populate in Base Variant field
Select WriteDataByIdentifierVIN
Select >> to move WriteDataByIdentifierVIN to right side
Enter xxxxxCARxVINxxxxx in Pop-up Field
Select Start button and check Log window for ok result.

Hello everyone,


I'm currently working on programming a BMW MGU head unit and have hit a roadblock. When attempting to program the MGU, I receive an error message stating: "Missing SWEs in PSDZData in directory" (please see the attached photo for reference). I have deselected all other control units and only want to program or re-flash the head-unit as it seems corrupted.


Here's my setup:

• BMW G80 modules configured as a bench setup (no vehicle).

• Modules included: BDC, FZD, KOMBI, and MGU with CIC touch screen. MGU and BDC are from the same donor vehicle.

• Using ė-šÝ§ with full PSDZData.


This bench setup is physically missing some of vehicle's control units, which might be causing this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or know how to resolve this error?


Any guidance or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Everybody.  Have been on a long quest to be able to diagnose early E31 840 and 850  pre OBD using ADS interface and ÏÑÞÀ.  Had limited success to accessing DME (partial access to information) and other modules.  I am trying to find a copy of DIS v44 and installation instructions to further being able to diagnose these models.  Any help or guidance likely to help in preserving my sanity.  Thanks in advance.

I’ve been reading through the forums and saw the post about HMU Manager.

I’m driving a 2018 BMW G30 M550i and I’d love to install HMU Manager. This would be my first time doing anything with HMU Manager.

Would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction:

• What exactly do I need in terms of hardware and software? 
  
• Is there a reliable step-by-step guide out there?
  
• Anything specific to look out for when installing it on a G30?
