Ich hoffe, dass ich hier in Sachen ÎŜ†Ä usw. bin. endlich mal was lerne. Habe mich nie an die Sachen herangetraut, was mit PC zu tun hat.

I have too many variables and unknowns so asking for help...
I have a car which has NBT EVO from factory. Before I bought this car that NBT was stolen and someone fitted second hand, a used one. All good. One day I changed some things in CAFD file and pressed 'Code' instead of 'Code FDL', stupid me. It failed and I got black screen. After some sweating I remembered that I saved CAFD file on my desktop. Read ECU, detected FDL, deteled it, loaded the saved one from desktop and Coded FDL. It came back to life, everything works (Apple CarPlay and so on) but navigation now asks for USB map load.
What did I do? And can it be restored? With or without buying FSC's?

Hi everyone, good evening.

I've got an aftermarket tow bar fixed on my X3 2017 G01 recently and, after the installation, the tailgate stopped from working properly. It opens normally when I click push the buttons (both internal/external), but the tailgate won't lift/close automatically. Additionally, car's services alerts have all shown up after that, including the pre-delivery check (which is the only one I didn't manage to turn off).

I took it to a BMW shop and their diagnostics were:

"Investigated customer concern. Confirmed concerns. There is no communication to the HKL module, possibly due to aftermarket wiring.
Attempted to program vehicle but was unsuccessful due to aftermarket control module fitted to the vehicle.
Carried out further diagnostics and confirmed vehicle requires trailer control module, BMW trailer wiring harness to bring vehicle back to factory specification. Reset the tail gate module, if still faulty then recommend replacing tail gate module also. Will require programming after control units are replaced."

I tried to reprogram the ECU using ė-šÝ§ but the HKFM module (or any other related to the tailgate) is simply not showing up, however, others do.

I'm a bit sceptic about the idea of the aftermarket trail module interfering with BMW's, and before running to buy a genuine BMW trailer ECU, I'd like to try it via coding.

I'm trying to find a way to identify if the module has been fried or not. Also, I'm not quite sure yet how to reprogram the module, "brute forcing" a HKFM folder save on it.

Does anyone here would be able to provide a suggestion?

 I mess about with BMW diag and coding since getting my E46 in 2008. I started to work with E series from the begining and moved to F series consequently. When my SW was not able to support cars after iLevel cca 11/2019, I started to look around for comfortable solution for them and the G series as well, so I found BU and this Scene and I chose to be part of its history. Got the BU for its capability it offers and after a month of usage I became a fan of it. To not miss important info, I registered and joined the Scene.
