  Coding for 5DL retrofit
Posted by: mikola - 07-07-2024, 11:23 PM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - No Replies

I've recently finished retrofitting the 5DL option to my 2016, 528i, F10. Coded HU_NBT, FRM, TSRVC and ICM modules. The side view, and rear view are all fine. But I can't seem to enable the top view feature.  I've just flashed the TRSVC, to make it up to date with my car as it used to belong to a 2011 F01. Didn't help. Looked inside the CAFD file of HU NBT, the top view is enabled and the camera has been set to TRSVC in there.
When I turn off the rearview, the whole screen is captured by the car image with parking sensors activated. So it's not even a black screen.
I've checked the top view cameras with ÎŜ†Ä-D and they seem ok as I can read their amperage and there's no fault stating that either of the top view cameras is not connected. I've taught all the cameras in.
What else should I do? Could you guide me, please?

P.S. I'm going to write a post detailing the whole process as there's no guide on retrofitting this option to F10

  DSC Steuergerät kodieren BMW G21
Posted by: Ducatiman - 07-06-2024, 09:18 PM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - No Replies

Hallo.

E61: how to test Key Fob & Diversity Antenna?
Posted by: msbendts - 07-06-2024, 02:47 AM - Forum: BMW E Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (1)

Is there a way to test/see that the diversity antenna is receiving any signal from the key fob?

I have two key fobs for my 2006 E61 Touring, and both work in starting the car, but neither work in locking/unlocking the car doors via the key fob...I have to disconnect the metal key from the fob and manually use the key lock in the drivers door.

I have replaced my diversity antenna with a new unit, and have done the painful task of checking/fixing the super-thin wires in the wagon's hatch hinge...nearly all of them were broken and needed fixing.  That wiring check solved my third brake light, my glass hatch latch, my reverse lights, and a blinker issue.  I'm hoping one of these tools has the ability to show me the diversity antenna receiving a signal from the key fob when the key is pressed.  If so, which tool and where in the menus?  Any other suggestions on which modules I should be resetting or upgrading to key fobs to work?

Is there also a way to see how many keys have been programmed to my car, and potentially remove keys which are no longer in my possession?

Finally, the ribbon cable (purple connector) from the diversity antenna to the glass hatch broke at the glass hatch point....I believe this flimsy connection is how the module used the antenna lines in the glass hatch...I'm assuming I can create my own antenna by soldering to this ribbon had running loops of wires (under the plastic covering)....has anyone else done (or heard of

The fun of purchasing a used car!

Thanks!

Hi everyone, I´m a proud owner of a 2019 420D (F36)       and I recently bought Bimmerutility to do some coding. I´ve been reading this forum for some time now in process of deciding which coding SW would fit my needs best.

Thanks in advance for all the help I´m sure this community will give me!

G01 LCI tail lamps coding problem
Posted by: okay - 07-05-2024, 10:32 AM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (1)

Hello Guys

I'm a newbie here and most probably this one will be simple for You.

Here is the problem.

I have G01 LCI from canada imported to europe.
Tail lights has been upgraded, and now they have amber turn led's installed in all 4 lamps + external lamps have additional pins added.
Two cables from BDC to external lamps were added.

When lamps are connected without any coding, external (fender) stop light is blinking and internal (tailgate) amber.

For coding I'm using ėšÝ§ 3.30.1  TokenMaster's 2.8.1.155 and BimmerUtility.

In the Interner I found info that to make tail lights work only two params needs to be changed:
3706 LicLogLamp2PhysLampIndex G01_US_code1 -> G01_ECE_code1
3707 LicLOgLamp2PhysLampData G01_US_code1 -> G01_ECE_code1

Using BimmerUtility I made change in the 5665 ncd and coded the car.

As the effect, stop lamp is not blinking, external amber are blinking fast, and internal abmer are not blinking.

I tried many different options in params metioned above and many others but I'm not able to code the lamps correctly - the effect is always the same, external lamps blinking quickly, and internal lamps not blinking at all.

Are You able to help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks a lot,
Kris
