  ÎŜ†Ä-D 4.39.20 problems
Posted by: Haug530D - 08-01-2023, 08:21 PM - Forum: BMW E Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (5)

I have downloaded the standalone install of ÎŜ†Ä-D 4.39.20

From here, but i connect it to my E87 and start the "Complete Vehicle identification" and it says "it will take a moment" and then disapears, nothing more happens.

I did get some message about unable to excecute file 2019_vc_redist.x86.exe during install, could this be the problem?

I installed the Redist files and now i'm one step further.

I get this message:

"The vehicle could not be identified sucsessfully. check vehicle interface and "Pad Active"

What interface do you recomended me to try if bimmer utility can get my vin and problem is the buwifi interface?

Hi, I'm from Boston and doing e60 CIC retrofit
Posted by: HankReardon - 07-31-2023, 04:49 PM - Forum: New Member Intro - Replies (2)

Hi All-

I'm a new member from across the pond in Boston.

Currently, I'm nearing the end of a CCC to CIC retrofit for my 2007 (build date 06/06) 550i.

Perhaps someone on here has experienced the same glitch as I'm experiencing.
I updated the car's VO to #0909 and added $609.
I sucessfully flashed all 3 modules (63, 62 & A0) with ÏçØɱ MOST B and default coded each of them with NCS Expert.  Updates show up with correct VINs in ÏÑÞÀ.

.docx   E60 cuurrent VO list.docx (Size: 12.27 KB / Downloads: 7)

Trouble is my CID (iDrive display) does not work.  It only glows orange for about 20 seconds (no BMW logo, CIC radio works fine) and then turns off.
It throws a a code in ÏÑÞÀ and ÎŜ†Ä- A468 which implies a wiring issue.  Same thing with two different known good CID displays. Cable connection is good, checked all four pins in coax for continuity. I have reset the head unit multiple times with same result- radio/cd works fine, display backlight turns orange for 20 sec and then turns off. Head unit boots fine and fan does not run constantly.

I think the issue has to do with the VO and the car still looking for the old CCC display rather than the retrofitted CIC display. I attached UIF and ID screenshots from ÏÑÞÀ.

Thanks all, for any thoughts.....

Hank

Best ÎŜ†Ä-D version for E series?
Posted by: wrp - 07-30-2023, 11:31 AM - Forum: BMW E Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (3)

Hello, what is the latest version of ÎŜ†Ä-D that works best with E series? As you may noticed with newer versions some features got removed (for example closing egr valve). Im currently using 4.04.12 but i was wondering if i should upgrade it or not. I only use it for E series with KDCAN cable.
