Hi everyone, I'm Christian from the south of France.

I've been passionate about cars since a very young age, especially BMWs. I've owned several models over the years, and currently I drive a modest F31.

I'm looking forward to finding great ideas on this forum and also sharing some discoveries with you all.  Big Grin

  8HP70 Alpina Flash
Posted by: Jsg1994 - 07-18-2025, 10:42 PM - Forum: BMW F / G Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - Replies (1)

Hi Guys,

After some help if possible!

Done a 8HP70 swap on a B58 M240i, I managed to get the car running and driving on the original diesel N57 software.

I mailed Rod Sutphin for a tune and he explained i need to be on the Alpina B4 F32 software, I've managed to flash the car to Alpina using Esys3.36.2 and PSDZDATA version 4.39.30 but it's an older version of the software F30-096 rather then the F32-097 i need. Searching the PSDZDATA manually I can see the file i need but just can't seem to get it to flash.

I've used the type code from an F32 and tried different time criteria, i've got the correct SALAPA elements.

Just after some advice on which way to proceed? Is it worth trying a different version of ėšÝ§ or PSDZData or both?

Thanks

  Stubborn A/C problem
Posted by: Icey - 07-16-2025, 09:02 PM - Forum: BMW E Series Coding & Retrofits & Diagnostics - No Replies

about the car: bmw e60 520i "LCI" from 2010 125kw with AN N43B20A engine

Would appreciate some help with this problem im facing.

currently im getting 2 fault codes in ÎŜ†Ä d:

9c6a compressor clutch:
signal or value above threshold

9c6f compressor refrigerant control valve:
Fault currently present: no signal or value

I've replaced the a/c pump and also a new pressure sensor which reads 5v

from my understanding this is a variable displacement compressor. The denso dcp05108. When unplugging the cable and putting it back in the clutch does click in and is always running when engine is on(normal operation).

When pressing my a/c button on ihka panel nothing happens except a/c light comes on. The engine idling speed doesnt go up for a bit which makes me think the ihka panel is not requesting anything from the dme (Not sure if this is the correct procedure). What im wondering right now is who is responsible for the pwm going to the compressor control valve and sends the pulses? The ikha or dme?
All fuses are also checked
And wiring has power and ground
